Ahmed Mohamed Solih, brother of President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih, has passed away.
Lovingly called Ahmedbe, he was one of the President’s eight younger siblings. He had a total of 12 siblings.
Sources report that he passed away in Dubai while receiving treatment for cancer. He was 55 at the time of his death.
Ahmed was one of four siblings with vision impairment. The three other siblings were hafizes, having learned the Quran by heart. Ahmed had been attempting to achieve the same title until his health began to decline, leaving him unable to finish his course.
Many offered their condolences to the family via social media.
