Ministry of Islamic Affairs has stated that Tharaaveeh prayers will be carried out in accordance to social-distancing guidelines on the upcoming Holy Month of Ramadan. As COVID19 still spreads, there are 19 more days left for the Holy Month of Ramadan.
In response to the community spread of COVID19 in the community, Male' was brought under lockdown and Tharaaveeh prayers did not take place in the Holy Month of Ramadan.
Islamic Ministry has also stated that Jam'ath prayers will take place in islands and Male' City in accordance to social distancing guidelines and the same will be applied to Tharaaveeh prayers as well.
As COVID19 numbers are still high, Islamic Ministry has appealed to the public to follow HPA social distancing guidelines while performing Jama'th prayers.
