12,793 Staff from Tourism Sector Vaccinated

12,793 staff working in the tourism sector have received the first dose of the COVISHIELD vaccine.

The Tourism Ministry announced that 12,793 people working in the tourism industry have received their first dose of the Covid-19 vaccine.

Furthermore, they also stated that the vast majority of the people who received the vaccinations were frontline workers of the resorts.

Out of the 12,793 people who received the first dose of the vaccine, 12,048 of them were resort workers. 306 were workers from guesthouses, 213 from safaris and 70 staff from hotels were vaccinated.

The ministry also stated that 64 musicians, 24 travel agents and 67 frontline workers from the ministry were vaccinated.
