Pfizer Vaccines Donated by USA Arrives in Maldives

The shipment of Pfizer vaccines donated to Maldives by the Unites States of America has arrived in Maldives on Monday.
The shipment arrived on Monday afternoon at Velana International Airport on Qatar Airways.
Vaccines have been donated from the COVAX facility under the US government’s efforts to provide vaccines to countries in need.
When it first announced the vaccine donation, the USA did not specify which vaccine. Although the Ministry of Foreign Affairs revealed they were Pfizer vaccines, the ministry did not state the number of doses.
Maldives is currently using Covishield, Sinopharm, and Pfizer vaccines. Russia’s Sputnik, Janssen, and Moderna have also been approved for use.
