Fazeen Appointed as Member of BroadCom

President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih has formally ratified the selection of former RaajjeTV correspondent, Mohamed Fazeen, to the Maldives Broadcasting Commission.

Fazeen's selection had been nominated by the Majlis.

President Solih had given Fazeen his letter of appointment in a ceremony at the President's Office on Sunday.

The Majlis had selected Fazeen after a shortlist of nominations sent by the President had been evaluated by the Parliamentary Committee on Independent Institutions. It is noteworthy that the Committee had evaluated veteran correspondent, Shifza Mustafa, at a higher rank than Fazeen.

Fazeen has been employed at RaajjeTV since 2014. Prior to that, he had been working at Channel News Maldives since 2012.
