Effective on February 3, land vehicles have been prohibited for use within the Greater Male Region between the 20:30 to 04:30.
Given the rise of active COVID-19 cases in the Maldives, the government has decided to enforce stricter measures. The government has therefore decided to enforce a curfew in the Greater Male Region between the hours of 23:00 and 04:30.
All parks and public spaces have been closed to the public for the next two weeks. However, individuals may engage in routine exercise as per HEOC guidelines at designated hours.
All classes at universities and colleges would take place online, and practical sessions would have to be undertaken as per guidelines.
All government employees who may fulfill their duties through the Internet are to stay home, and the government is ready to provide the necessary ICT services required.
