The Minister of Home Affairs, Imran Abdullah, had been transferred from prison to his home but had been transferred to Dhoonidhoo before 24 hours had passed, Dr Iyaz Abdul Latheef had alleged.
Dr Iyaz also claimed that the location in Dhoonidhoo that Imran Abdullah had been detained in would not be fit for humans or animals.
However, according to Minister Imran’s ex-brother-in-law, Mohamed Mustafa; Imran had spent more time at home than he did in prison.
During his prison term, Imran had enjoyed Eid festivities with his family at home. He had also spent every Ramadan at home, said Mustafa. According to Mustafa, Imran had also been brought home for a period of three months after his wife at the time gave birth.
