Dr.Muizzu criticizes the Flat Committee

Former Housing Minister Vice President of PPM Dr. Mohamed Muizzu has stated that the Flat Committee is deemed to be clueless by several people due to numerous reasons.

Dr. Muizzu stated this in the aftermath of a press conference held by the Flat Committee where the Committee’s member Thoha claimed that the previous administration had not announced the details of 2500 Two room housing units, and 1 room units that were developed under the government’s social housing scheme. Although, Thoha claimed that the announcement was never made, it was published on the Government’s Gazette in 2018.

In a tweet addressing this incident, Dr. Muizzu stated that people have labeled the Committee as clueless, ignorant and irresponsible. He also stated that these claims were made due to numerous credible reasons.

Dr. Muizzu also reiterated that the previous administration had not finalized any decision regarding the Social Housing Scheme without publishing the details in the Government’s Gazette.
