Male’ City Council seeks public help to identify illegal dumpers

Male’ City Council has called on the public to submit photos and videos of individuals dumping waste illegally on roads and in lagoon areas of Male’.

The council said members of the public who witness people disposing of waste in violation of regulations can send photos or videos to the council’s hotline at 9341144.

According to the council, the initiative is aimed at keeping Male’ clean and identifying individuals who improperly dispose of waste so that appropriate action can be taken.

The council also said it is carrying out ongoing efforts to keep the lagoon areas of Male’ clean, with cleaning work conducted on a daily basis.

The council called for the full cooperation of residents in maintaining a clean and attractive environment in the capital. It urged the public not to dump waste on roads or in lagoon areas and to share information about individuals involved in such activities.
