Ooredoo Maldives Launches Google Workspace to Empower Local Businesses

Ooredoo Maldives has announced a strategic collaboration with Google Cloud to introduce Google Workspace services to businesses across the Maldives, marking a significant step forward in the country's digital transformation journey.
The cloud-based productivity suite, known globally for its robust collaboration tools, will now be locally available with dedicated support, billing, and flexible licensing through Ooredoo Maldives. Google Workspace integrates essential tools such as Gmail, Drive, Docs, Sheets, Meet, and Calendar into a unified, secure platform, enabling real-time collaboration and streamlined operations.
In a statement, Ooredoo Maldives CEO & MD Khalid Al-Hamadi said the initiative reflects the company’s commitment to helping Maldivian SMEs and enterprises grow through innovation. “This is more than just a technology offering—it’s about creating real value for businesses of all sizes, helping them grow, innovate, and succeed in today’s competitive landscape,” he stated.
Chief Business Officer Rajesh Mehta also noted that this partnership enables local organisations to reimagine how they work and collaborate. He emphasised the role of Google Workspace in accelerating digital adoption while ensuring reliable local support.
With this launch, Ooredoo Maldives will offer tailored Google Workspace packages for startups, SMEs, and large enterprises—helping businesses stay competitive, connected, and future-ready in the evolving digital economy.
