The Ministry of Islamic Affairs has officially declared that Eid al-Fitr will be celebrated tomorrow in the Maldives, marking the end of the holy month of Ramadan.
In its announcement, the Ministry stated that although the Shawwal crescent was not sighted in the Maldives, it was observed in several Islamic countries. As per Maldives’ moon sighting policies, the Ministry has therefore declared tomorrow as Eid.
Several Islamic nations, including Saudi Arabia, the UAE, Oman, Iran, and Qatar, have also confirmed that they will observe Eid al-Fitr tomorrow.
