President Appoints Yazmeedh Mohamed to Judicial Service Commission

Appointing ceremony of Yazmeedh Mohamed as judiciary service commission member
President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu has appointed Yazmeedh Mohamed as a member of the Judicial Service Commission (JSC).
Yazmeedh Mohamed took the oath of office in a ceremony held at the President's Office, in the presence of President Muizzu. The oath was administered by Dr. Mohamed Ibrahim, Justice of the Supreme Court of the Maldives.
The appointment was made under Article 158(I) of the Constitution and Article 3, Clause 8 of the Judicial Service Commission Act, as a member appointed by the President. He replaces Mohamed Sameer, who was dismissed from the position prior to this appointment.
Following the ceremony, President Muizzu officially presented the letter of appointment to Yazmeedh Mohamed.
The JSC is composed of representatives from the executive, legislative, and judicial branches, including members from the People's Majlis, the judiciary, the Attorney General, the President’s appointee, and a representative from the legal profession.
