Ooredoo Maldives Partners with Qatar Charity to Enhance Hulhumalé Grand Mosque Ahead of Ramadan

Ooredoo Maldives has announced a significant partnership with Qatar Charity to upgrade the Hulhumalé Grand Mosque, Masjid Al Sheikh Qasim bin Al-Thani, with a state-of-the-art air conditioning system. The enhancement aims to ensure the mosque provides a comfortable environment for worshippers ahead of the holy month of Ramadan.
The agreement was signed at a ceremony held in Doha, Qatar, by the CEO and Managing Director of Ooredoo Maldives, Mr. Khalid Al-Hamadi, and the Chief Marketing Officer of Qatar Charity, Mr. Ahmad Fakhroo. The event was also attended by the Chairperson of Ooredoo Maldives, Ms. Fatima Sultan Kuwari.
The mosque, which accommodates over 1,800 people, is known for its serene environment and intricate geometric ceiling design.The air conditioning system upgrade is set to be completed in time for Ramadan, ensuring worshippers can perform prayers in a more comfortable and welcoming atmosphere.
Speaking about the initiative, Mr. Khalid Al-Hamadi said:

Repairs to the mosque will begin immediately, ensuring the upgraded facilities are ready for Ramadan, further fostering a sense of unity and spirituality during this sacred time.
