Government of Maldives Strongly Condemns Storming of Al-Aqsa Mosque by Israeli Settlers

The Government of Maldives has expressed its strong condemnation of the storming of the Al-Aqsa Mosque courtyards by Israeli settlers, carried out under the protection of Israeli occupying forces.

These violations represent an attack on the religious rights of the Palestinian people and Muslims worldwide. The repeated attacks on the Al-Aqsa Mosque are a direct assault on the principles of religious freedom and international peace, which must be respected and upheld by all nations.

A just and lasting resolution to the ongoing conflict can only be achieved through the recognition of Palestinian sovereignty, with the pre-1967 borders as the basis, and East Jerusalem as the capital of Palestine.
