Maldives Polytechnic Wins Silver at SCO Worker Skills Contest

Lecturer Mohamed Latheef, along with students Ahmed Liwaz and Mohamed Naseem from Maldives Polytechnic, secured a silver medal at the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation (SCO) Worker Skills Contest, held in Beijing and Qingdao, China.

The Ministry of Higher Education, Labour, and Skills Development congratulated the team through a post on X, celebrating Maldives Polytechnic’s significant achievement and their successful representation of the Maldives on the international stage.

The Third SCO Worker Skills Contest took place from December 16 to 20, 2024, in Qingdao. The event brought together skilled workers from SCO member states, observer countries, and dialogue partners, providing a platform for collaboration and knowledge exchange. Participants competed across three specialized skill categories, showcasing their expertise.
