Bank of Maldives (BML) has announced the successful completion of two significant projects under its Small Grant Fund, initiated as part of the bank's 40th Anniversary celebrations.
The completed projects include:
- Fishmeal Plant in HDh. Kumundhoo: Led by the Kumundhoo Revival Initiative (KUREVI), this project aims to manage fish waste more effectively by converting daily catch discards into fishmeal fertiliser, addressing environmental concerns while supporting sustainable practices.
- Reef Conservation at GDh. Vaadhoo: Carried out by the Huvadhoo Association for Tourism (HAT), this initiative focuses on conserving the Bluebowls surf spot reef, a critical effort to preserve marine biodiversity and support eco-tourism.
BML’s Small Grant Fund continues to support community-driven projects that promote environmental sustainability and social development across the Maldives.
