President His Excellency Dr. Mohamed Muizzu extended heartfelt congratulations on Wednesday to His Highness Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, the Amir of Qatar, and His Excellency Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al Thani, the Prime Minister and Minister for Foreign Affairs, on the occasion of Qatar's National Day.
In letters addressed to the Amir and the Prime Minister, President Muizzu conveyed warm wishes from the Government and people of the Maldives to their Qatari counterparts. He expressed optimism about maintaining and enhancing the strong bilateral ties between the two nations.
Highlighting Qatar's significance as a key development partner, President Muizzu reaffirmed the Maldives' commitment to strengthening the bonds of friendship, cooperation, and people-to-people connections. He also wished the Amir and Prime Minister good health and well-being, along with continued prosperity and progress for the Qatari people.
Qatar’s National Day, commemorated annually on December 18, was also recognized in a post by President Muizzu on his official X account, where he extended his greetings to the nation.
