Ooredoo Maldives Shareholders Approve Sale of Techfin Shares to OFT International LLC

Ooredoo Maldives Plc has finalized the sale and transfer of 1,500,000 shares of Techfin Maldives Pvt Ltd to OFT International LLC, following shareholder approval during the company’s Extraordinary General Meeting (EGM) held on Sunday, December 15, 2024, at 20:00 hrs.

Techfin Maldives Pvt Ltd, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Ooredoo Maldives, was incorporated on May 16, 2024, to hold the Payment Service Provider Licence in compliance with regulatory requirements set by the Maldives Monetary Authority.

The Board of Directors recommended the transaction, which received formal approval from shareholders during the EGM. OFT International LLC, a limited liability company based in Qatar, shares the same ultimate beneficial owner as Ooredoo Maldives—Ooredoo Q.P.S.C., headquartered in Qatar.
