Maldivian, the national airline of the Maldives, has announced an increase in its domestic flight schedule to accommodate the surge in travelers during the school holiday period. From December 16 to 20, the airline will operate additional flights across 10 regions, ensuring efficient travel to the outer islands during this peak season.
According to Maldivian, the increased services are in response to heightened demand, a practice the airline regularly follows during peak periods like Eid holidays. Additional flights have already been scheduled for various destinations, including Gan International Airport, Fuvahmulah Airport, Kulhudhuffushi Airport, and Hoarafushi Airport.
On December 16, extra flights will connect travelers to Gan, Fuvahmulah, and Hoarafushi. The schedule for December 17 includes added services to Fuvahmulah, Kulhudhuffushi, Kadhdhoo, and Funadhoo. On December 18, flights will serve Hoarafushi, Gan, Kadhdhoo, and Faresmaathoda. December 19 will see additional flights to Fuvahmulah, Gan, Dharavandhoo, and Hanimaadhoo. Finally, on December 20, the airline has planned extra flights to Funadhoo and Maavarulu.
Maldivian has assured passengers that further flights will be arranged if demand continues to rise, ensuring smooth travel during the holiday period.
