State Revenue Reach MVR 31.9 Billion in First 11 Months of the Year

Statistics from the Ministry of Finance reveal that the state received MVR 31.9 billion in revenue and grants during the first 11 months of this year.
According to the Weekly Fiscal Development Report published by the Ministry of Finance, as of December 5, the state recorded MVR 31.9 billion in revenue and grants. This marks an increase compared to the MVR 31.1 billion received during the same period last year.
A significant portion of this revenue comes from tax collections, amounting to MVR 24.3 billion. This represents an additional MVR 2 billion in tax revenue compared to last year.
The largest contributor to tax revenue is the Goods and Services Tax (GST). Additionally, MVR 5.8 billion was collected from Business and Property Tax (BPT), while MVR 1 billion was received from Airport Service Charges and Departure Taxes.
Non-tax revenue for the period stands at MVR 7 billion, with grants amounting to MVR 691 million.
