President Dr. Muizzu Announces Plans for 100 New Housing Units in ADh. Mahibadhoo

President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu has revealed plans to begin the construction of 100 housing units in ADh. Mahibadhoo next year. This announcement was made during his visit to Mahibadhoo as part of his ongoing tour of islands in the southern Ari Atoll.

Speaking about the government-approved housing budget, President Dr. Muizzu confirmed that construction would begin on available land in the area. He also assured the residents that the plans for reclaiming and developing the Maafaru lagoon, which is under Mahibadhoo's jurisdiction, would be in line with the residents’ wishes.

The President emphasized the broader regional advantages of transforming Mahibadhoo into an urban hub, stating that the Maafaru lagoon development would be a model of true urban growth.

Looking ahead, President Dr. Muizzu reiterated the government’s commitment to addressing the concerns of Mahibadhoo residents over the next four years.
