Ministry of Finance has announced a search for a Commissioner of Reform to spearhead the newly established Economic Reform Office, a pivotal component of the government’s ongoing financial reform agenda aimed at streamlining state sectors.
According to an official notice published in today’s Gazette, this role has been introduced to fast-track the government’s reform initiatives. The Terms of Reference for the position are available on the Ministry’s website, and interested candidates are required to submit their Expressions of Interest via email by Sunday.
The government has already embarked on several key reform programmes, including:
- Review of state subsidies to ensure efficient allocation of resources.
- Restructuring of the national health insurance scheme (Aasandha) to enhance sustainability and coverage.
- Merging institutions with overlapping functions to reduce redundancy and improve public service delivery.
