Maldives Customs Seizes Cocaine Worth MVR 987,500

The Maldives Customs Service has seized drugs worth millions of rufiyaa that were being smuggled into the country through courier services.
According to a statement from Customs, 395 grams of drugs were seized during a search of a package brought into the Maldives by courier.
Further searches were conducted to identify any additional suspicious substances.Customs analyzed the suspected drugs, which tested positive for cocaine.
The estimated street value of the drugs is MVR 987,500 (nine hundred eighty-seven thousand five hundred). The seized drugs and a Maldivian man involved in the case have been handed over to the police for further investigation.
