The High Court of Maldives will go on recess from December 1 to the end of the month, in accordance with Article 4(I) of its rules.
While the court will be in recess, the General Assembly of judges has decided to continue handling certain types of cases during this period. These include cases prescribed by law to be decided within a specific time frame, trial hearings, and cases of an urgent nature.
Similarly, the Supreme Court of Maldives will go on recess from December 1 until January. According to the Courts Act, the Supreme Court will not hold hearings during the recess, except for matters that the Constitution or other laws require to be decided within a specific period.
