Youth is a Gift - Spend It Wisely in Worship and Purpose

Today’s Friday sermon delivered a profound message, urging the congregation to recognize the immense value of youth and the responsibility that comes with it. The Imam emphasized that youth is a fleeting gift, one that holds immense potential for worship and good deeds.
The sermon highlighted the importance of preparing for the Hereafter, reminding listeners of the inevitability of the Day of Judgment. On that day, every individual will be held accountable for their actions. Those who grow up worshipping Allah and remain steadfast in righteousness will be among the fortunate ones to find shade under His Throne—a reward reserved for the righteous.
The Imam also spoke about the distractions and temptations of modern life, cautioning against materialism, immorality, and the misuse of time. He urged young people to focus their energy on acts of worship, kindness, and pursuits that bring them closer to Allah. The youth were reminded that their strength and vitality make their good deeds even more impactful.
The sermon addressed societal challenges, such as the misuse of social media and the decline of mutual respect and compassion. The Imam called on the congregation to foster honesty, respect, and understanding in their interactions, and to avoid behaviors that harm others.
As the sermon concluded, the congregation was reminded to live purposefully, reflect on their actions, and align their lives with the teachings of Islam. The Imam encouraged the community to honor the gift of youth by dedicating it to meaningful pursuits and preparation for the Hereafter.
