President Muizzu: “China’s Rise is a Source of Inspiration for All Developing Nations”

At the reception celebrating the 75th Anniversary of the Founding of the People's Republic of China held to day in Male' Maldives, President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu hailed China’s transformation as a beacon of hope for developing nations, including the Maldives.
“China’s rise is not just its own story—it is a source of inspiration for all developing nations, including the Maldives,” President Muizzu said as he congratulated China on its remarkable journey of growth and modernization.
In his speech, President Muizzu commended China’s economic resilience and highlighted its role as a leading force in the global economy. “China’s trajectory of resilience, coupled with a commitment to modernization, has firmly established its position as a powerful force in the global economy,” he stated.
He further praised China's achievements, emphasizing the lessons it offers to other nations striving for progress. “China has been a shining beacon of what a nation can achieve through dedication and hard work,” President Muizzu added.
Reflecting on the Maldives-China relationship, the President noted that their partnership is built on trust, mutual respect, and shared principles. He also expressed optimism about the future of cooperation between the two nations, pointing to areas such as trade, tourism, renewable energy, and infrastructure development.
“We envision even greater cooperation between our nations in areas such as trade, tourism, agriculture, fisheries, renewable energy, and cultural exchange in addition to housing and infrastructure development,” President Muizzu said.
Concluding his remarks, President Muizzu emphasized the importance of continued collaboration in addressing global challenges like climate change and sustainable development, expressing hope for an even stronger bond between the two countries in the future.
