Minister Faisal Calls for Arrest of Fenaka MD Ahmed Saeed Amidst Financial Mismanagement Allegations

Tourism Minister Ibrahim Faisal has called for the arrest of Fenaka Corporation Managing Director Ahmed Saeed, asserting that he should be held accountable for the financial mismanagement that has allegedly left the country in debt. Speaking at a meeting at the Congress party headquarters, Faisal emphasized that Saeed and other leaders from the previous administration, including former President Ibrahim and Economic Minister Fayyaz, should face justice for their roles in the distribution of illegal funds.

"There are many others worth mentioning, but these are the ones that are most important to me," Faisal stated, underscoring the need for accountability.

In addition to addressing these allegations, Faisal highlighted the government's achievements in the tourism sector. The Maldives recorded the highest number of tourist arrivals in a single day this year, with the government aiming to attract over 2 billion tourists by the end of the year.

Regarding tourism development in Addu, Faisal outlined plans for direct seaplane flights to the region, facilitating easier access for tourists to destinations such as Gaafu Alifu Atoll and Fuvahmulah.
