The Maldives welcomed its 1 millionth tourist of the year today, a significant milestone for the country's tourism industry.
The 1 millionth tourist, a Thai national, was greeted at Velana International Airport by senior officials from the Maldives Marketing and Public Relations Corporation (MMPRC), the Ministry of Tourism, and other government officials.
The MMPRC and the Ministry of Tourism are actively working to achieve their goal of attracting 2 million tourists to the Maldives by the end of this year.
