A foreign national has been remanded to 15-day police custody by the Hulhumale' Magistrate's Court following an attack on a local resident with a sharp object.
The incident occurred last evening on Lansimoo Road, where the foreigner allegedly assaulted a local individual. The Maldives Police Service reported that the victim was taken to Hulhumale' Hospital for treatment. Fortunately, medical professionals determined that the injuries sustained were not serious.
Following the arrest, the accused was presented before the Hulhumale' Magistrate's Court today, which resulted in a decision to remand the individual to police custody for 15 days.
