Ooredoo Maldives has launched a new roaming SIM, named 'Saudi Passport', specifically for the Hajj season. The aim of this new service is to ensure that Maldivian pilgrims can easily communicate with their family and friends back home while in Saudi Arabia.
The 'Saudi Passport' SIM comes bundled with 15GB of data, 60 minutes of calls, and 60 SMS for roaming. Ooredoo has announced that data usage beyond the bundle will be charged at a rate of 99 laari per MB.
The launch ceremony was attended by Dr. Shaheem Ali Saeed, the Minister of Islamic Affairs. Speaking at the event, Dr. Saeed stated, "The introduction of 'Saudi Passport' travel SIM by Ooredoo Maldives is aimed at making it easier for pilgrims to connect to the Maldives while they are in Saudi Arabia."
This new offering from Ooredoo Maldives is expected to provide significant benefits to pilgrims, ensuring they can stay connected with their loved ones during their spiritual journey. According to Ooredoo, the SIM will incur a charge of 99 laari per MB for data usage.
