President to organise exhibition on business and produce

In an effort to improve production and promote business in the Maldives, President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu has decided to host an exhibition on business and produce in the Maldives.

At a cabinet meeting yesterday in the President's Office, the Ministry of Economic Development and Trade submitted a report, which was debated by the cabinet before the president made his decision.

Following deliberations at the cabinet meeting yesterday, the " Dhiveheenge Ufehdhuntherikamuge Ma'urazu" (Maldivians' Creativity Exhibition) will be held in May 2025 and is a showcase for entrepreneurship and creativity. The exhibition's goal is to boost national business and productivity.

The decision has also been made to make the exhibition competitive in a variety of domains, such as the creative economy field, digital and inventive field, entertainment field, and marketplace field. Additionally, it has been determined that the expo would be jointly organised and managed by the Ministry of Economic Development & Trade, and Business Centre Corporation (BCC).
