Housing Development Corporation (HDC) Managing Director Fazul Rasheed has said that the previous government neglected Hulhumalé for the last five years.
Speaking at the launch of the campaign of Shaaneez Hashim, who is contesting the Hulhumalé South constituency on the PPM/PNC ticket, Fazul said the government has neglected the area of Hulhumalé in the last five years.
He said the people would know what had happened inside the HDC.
“If we look from one end of the city to the other, I certainly see the negligence of the last five years. I have not talked about what has been done within the HDC in the last five years,” Fazul said.
He said the people are the beneficiaries of every service and if the pro-government candidates are elected to the Hulhumalé constituency, they will work towards correcting the errors made during the term of the last government.
There are many others that are worth mentioning, but these are the ones that are most important to me, and I’m not sure if I’m going to be able to do it all the time.
In addition, Fazul said that the needs of the people were obvious to him when he visited the second phase of Hulhumalé on the first day of taking office.
