The meetings were held separately, and were the first official engagements he has had since the attack on him on the 31st of last month.
Prosecutor Shameem met with US Ambassador to Maldives Hugo Yon at the Prosecutor's Office on the 3rd of this month. The country is providing a lot of technical assistance to Maldives in the criminal justice system, and the two discussed further assistance the United States can provide to Maldives’ criminal justice system.

He also met with Australian Ambassador to Maldives David Jessup on the 15th of this month to discuss what Australia can do to help strengthen the Maldivian justice system. The government of Australia is also providing technical assistance to the justice system of Maldives.
