The Maldivian Army will participate in the world's largest naval exercise, “Milan 24.”
The naval exercises will be conducted from February 19th to 27th with the participation of 51 countries from different parts of the world.
This is the 12th time the exercises are being conducted with the participation of 35 warships and submarines, as well as 50 aircraft, Rear Admiral Shantanu Jha, Chief Staff Officer, Eastern Naval Command, said.
Lt. Col. Yoosuf Nishar will represent the Maritime Safety and Security Squadron of the Maldivian Navy in the exercise, which aims to strengthen professional relationships and enhance skills among the navies.
