President Dr. Muizzu meets with the Emir of Dubai, who is also the Vice President, Prime Minister and Minister of Defense.
President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu met with the Emir of Dubai, who is also the Vice President, Prime Minister and Defense Minister of the United Arab Emirates, Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum.
The President, who is currently in Dubai to attend the World Government Forum at the invitation of Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid, met the Emir on the sidelines of the summit and discussed bilateral relations between Maldives and the UAE.
During the meeting, the two discussed a number of issues of common interest between their two countries.
The two discussed strengthening relations and further cooperation in various fields, such as tourism, trade and development.
The two also discussed climate change and sustainable energy, among other issues in the international arena.
During the meeting, the two leaders expressed their hope that the long-standing brotherly relations between the two countries would be developed to even greater heights.
