The second Investment Forum of the year opened in Dubai today to share information with investors on investment opportunities in Maldives.
The government held another such forum earlier this year. More than 300 businesses attended the forum held in Fuzhou, the capital of Fujian Province, during the President's visit to China.
Unlike the Investment Forum held in China, the Forum held in Dubai will be attended by direct investors, said Economic Development Minister Mohamed Saeed. Businessmen have registered to fill the space of the Burj Al Arab hall where the forum will be held.
Saeed said the large number of businessmen participating in the forum is proof of the restored confidence among businessmen in the economy, and the interest of investors in Maldives.
The investment forum, which began today, provided information on the various investment opportunities and projects planned by the government in Maldives.
