The Maldives Marketing and Public Relations Corporation (MMPRC) attends Spain’s largest travel trade fair, which is the first trade fair for MMPRC for the year, to promote tourism in Maldives.
"Fitur 2024" began yesterday and will run until the 28th of this month in Madrid, Spain.
According to the MMPRC, the fair is very important for the Ibero-American inbound and outbound markets and those involved in the tourism industry. The fair provides an opportunity for tourism professionals to share their experiences.
The company added that participation in the fair will provide an opportunity to further strengthen Maldives’ brand in line with MMPRC's marketing strategy and meet agents in key markets to further strengthen business relationships.
The fair is the largest of its kind in Spain and participation in the fair will provide information on the latest products, services and experiences of the Maldivian tourism industry stakeholders and promote the unique experiences available to tourists in Maldives.
The stall at Fitur 2024 is designed to cover the characteristics of luxury, romanticism, adventure, sailing and cultural tourism. The stall will feature videos showcasing the various experiences that tourists can experience in Maldives.
The company noted that in 2023, Spain was the ninth most visited country in the world. The MMPRC describes Maldives participation in Spain's largest fair as an important factor in maintaining the current momentum of tourist arrivals.
