President-Elect Dr. Muizzu Engages in Talks with Turkish President Over Ongoing Palestinian Conflict

Maldives President-elect Dr Mohamed Muizzu has discussed with Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan the Israeli brutal attacks on Palestinians.

In a tweet, the Turkish government's Directorate of Communications said Erdogan spoke to The Maldives' President-elect Dr. Muizzu during a phone call. During the call, Erdogan assured the president-elect that Turkey was doing everything possible to restore peace and stability in the Middle East. To find new ways of doing this and to adapt the methods already being worked to suit the situation.

Turkey's Directorate of Communications said the talks focused on Israel's attacks on Gaza since October 7 and the latest situation in the conflict.
