Avani+ Fares Resort: A Trailblazing Addition to the Maldivian Hotel Landscape

Minor Hotels has announced the launch of its first-ever Avani branded property in the Maldives. The 176-key resort will mark Minor's sixth property in the country, consolidating the company's position as a key player in the Indian Ocean destination.
The new resort will be located on the island of Fares, which is one of just 61 islands to enjoy the marine protected waters of Baa Atoll's UNESCO Biosphere Reserve. Accessible within just 35 minutes of Velana International Airport, the new resort promises to "unlock paradise" with a range of accommodation options.
From beach pool villas and four-bedroom beach pavilions to expansive three-bedroom overwater villas that fan out across the island's turquoise bay, guests can choose from a variety of accommodation options at the Avani+ Fares resort.

William Costley, Senior Vice President of Operations for Asia at Minor Hotels, said, "The first hotel opening in the area for more than three years, Avani+ Fares will continue to highlight Avani as a trailblazing hotel brand, filling a gap in the Maldivian hotel landscape."

The launch of the Avani+ Fares resort is a significant milestone for Minor Hotels and Avani brand, as it will further strengthen their position in the Maldives hospitality industry. With its prime location and range of accommodation options, the new resort is expected to attract a large number of tourists and bolster the country's tourism sector.

Minor Hotels has been actively expanding its portfolio in the Maldives in recent years, with the Avani+ Fares resort being the latest addition. The company has a strong presence in the Indian Ocean destination, with its other properties including Anantara Dhigu Maldives Resort, Anantara Veli Maldives Resort, Naladhu Private Island Maldives, Niyama Private Islands Maldives and Veligandu Island Resort & Spa.
