President Solih Lies About Housing Developments

Last night, President Solih claimed at a campaign rally that work on 8782 housing units is ongoing. However, these numbers are incorrect. According to sources, there are only three housing projects currently underway in the country.

These include a 2000-unit project by NBCC India LTD, a 2000 unit project by JMCC India, and a 1000 unit project by Apollo Holdings.

Out of the 1000 units being developed by Apollo Holdings, only 400 are designated for social housing. Work on 340 units is currently underway. The Housing Development Corporation (HDC) previously stated that the Apollo housing project would be completed this year. However, sources have now confirmed that the project will not be finished by the end of the year.

This is not the first time President Solih has made false claims about social housing in the country.
