Nasheed summoned to Indian High Commissioner

Parliament Speaker former President Mohamed Nasheed has been summoned to the Indian High Commissioner in the Maldives, Munu Mahawar.
Reports have surfaced that this meeting was held to repair the rifts within ruling Maldivian Democratic Party (MDP). MDP is currently split between incumbent President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih and Speaker Nasheed.
Nasheed was accompanied to the meeting by Deputy Speaker of Parliament Eva Abdullah and West Henveyru Constituency Member of Parliament Hassan Latheef. Hulhudhoo Constituency MP Ilyas Labeeb and Central Henveyru Constituency MP Ali Azim were also in attendance.
The meeting was held at 2030hrs on Wednesday evening and lasted three hours. All the attendees were escorted out at 2330hrs by the High Commissioner himself.
