President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih says the Government has no plans to start any large-scale projects.
The press conference in which he made this statement, came after nine months without meeting any press.
All ongoing projects, he said, were being carried out because funding had been secured. He assured that because of this, none of those projects would be disrupted even if external factors change. President Solih also assured that extra funding would not need to be secured.
“Whether if it is bridge, Gulhifalhu, water and sanitation, all funds have been secured. There would not be any disruption,” he added.
The President also said they had no plans to halt any projects but if the economic conditions demanded it, then the correct action will be taken.
