MVR 10 Million Spent On Travel Last Month

The government has spent MVR 10 million on travel expenses.

According to financial statistics published by the Ministry of Finance, the government had incurred a total cost of MVR 10.7 million between 1 January and 10 February 2022 in travel expenses.

The cost incurred in the same period last year had been MVR 7.7 million.

A total MVR 203 million has been allocated by the State Budget towards travel expenses this year.

Many officials of the Solih administration, including President Solih himself, have made several travels abroad. While campaigning for the presidency, Solih had told RaajjeTV that he "loved" to travel.
