Indian Spy Agency Recruited Agent Through Company Based In Maldives: Pakistani Authorities

It has come to light that India's intelligence agency, the Research and Analysis Wing (RAW), had possibly attempted to recruit an agent through a company based in the Maldives.
Pakistani authorities told the media that police had arrested a man suspected of espionage from a residence in central Karachi. The man was identified as Sufyan Naqvi.
Naqvi denied all of the charges, and he claimed that he worked as a freelance project coordinator for a company based in the Maldives, and that he had been tasked with continuing is hojb online while staying in Pakistan.
Forensic investigation of his computers and phone showed that he had been involving in running a "cyber-network" for RAW. According to the investigators, a RAW handler had been in contact with Naqvi through a UK phone number. Among his tasks had been creating content that opposed the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor project.
Naqvi's handler had paid him between Rs30,000 - 50,000 per month; his handler had also instructed him on applications he could use to conceal his identity.
Naqvi's equipment have been taken to Pakistan's Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) for further analysis, and the agency has also taken on the task of investigating those linked to Naqvi.
