President Ibrahim Moammed Solih has concluded his trip to the United States of America.
President Solih went to the United States to take part in the 76th session of the UN General Assembly. A delegation of 30 people went to the United States with the president.
Cabinet ministers and propaganda outlets aligned with the government claimed that the president's UN General Assembly statement was well-received among world leaders. However it is unclear how they reached that conclusion.
This is the president's second trip to the US since assuming office. In 2019 he attended the 74th session of the UN General Assembly. The President and his delegation spent over MVR 3 million in that trip.
