Former Tourism Minister of the Maldives Ali Waheed has announced that he will hold a press conference tonight.
He tweeted saying that he will meet the press tonight at 2100 hours and he plans to reveal various things in the press. In that regard, he said that he will explain how he was dismissed from his position, how President Yameen was jailed, the relation between Prosecutor General Hussain Shameem and MMPRC corruption scandal, and information about Uthuruthilafalhu.
The former minister who is currently residing in the UK tried to hold a press conference even before. However, he was arrested by UK police for overstaying on the day he was supposed to meet the press. Since then he has been detained at a detention center in Gatwick airport.
It should be noted that Ali Waheed used to be the chairperson of ruling MDP and was closely associated with President Ibrahim Mohammed Solih and Maldivian Parliament Speaker Mohammed Nasheed.
