Figures published by the Ministry of Finance show that the state has collected MVR 128.1 million in fines and penalties.
The weekly data shows that that state has received MVR 128.1 fines and penalties by June 29.
Last year, the state accumulated MVR 77.8 million in fines within the same duration. Income from fines has increased by MVR 50.3 within the same period this year.
While that state has received MVR 128.1 million in fines by July 29, MVR 87.2 million has been received as aid. This is an MVR 388.1 million decrease compared to the previous year.
Although income received is at MVR 9.9 billion and expenses total MVR 15.2 billion, the additional expense of MVR 5.2 billion is from various loans.
