Sheikh Jaufar Faiz, a reknown Maldivian religious scholar, has passed away.
Sheikh Jaufar, aged 65, passed away while seeking treatment for an illness at IGMH. He was born in Meedhoo, Addu City.
He previously sought treatment at a medical facility in Hulhumale' after he tested positive for COVID-19.
The Salat al-Janazah for Sheikh Jaufar will be held after the Dhuhr today at Furugaan Mosque.
