There has been a break-in at SME Development Finance Corporation (SDFC).
The SDFC loan office on the second floor of Kaneeru Villa, Maafannu on Orchid Magu, was broken into on Tuesday night. According to police, the break-in was reported at 0856 hours today, and police are currently on the scene.
Recently, there has been an increase in break-ins and theft at state-owned enterprises. In the past few months, Road Development Corporation (RDC) has been broken into twice.
There have also been break-ins at Maldives Industrial Fisheries Company (MIFCO) shops on islands.
