Foreign Minister Abdulla Shahid has stated that Maldivians will always value the hard work put in by the Ambassador to the Maldives by China Zhang Lizhong. The Minister stated this during the Ambassador’s official departure visit.
The Minister further thanked the Ambassador for his time and effort spent on building the diplomatic relations between Maldives and China and noted that the Ambassador’s popularity amongst Maldivians had increased after all the economic help received by the Maldives from China due to COVID19 pandemic.
The Minister wished Ambassador Zhang Lizhong full success in all his future endeavors and assured him that the Ambassador will always be welcome in the Maldives.
The Chinese Ambassador stated that he will continue to work with the Maldives through foreign relations.
